Warner Bros. files copyright claim against Trump

Warner Bros. has sued Trump for unauthorized use of their copyrighted material.

Warner Bros. has launched legal action against Donald Trump after ‘Dark Knight’ score music was used in Trump’s latest 2020 campaign video.

The complaint from Warner Bros. about the unauthorized use of their copyrighted material made the video pulled from Trump’s account, leaving a dead link with a message that read 'This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner.'

On Tuesday, Trump tweeted a movie-trailer-style video set to the score of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, which featured images of his presidency and his two years in office juxtaposed with images of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

'First they ignore you. Then, they laugh at you. Then, they call you a racist. Donald J. Trump. Your vote. Proved them all wrong,’ text on the video read, calling Trump's 2020 re-election a 'great victory.'

At the time of removal, the video had racked up more than 2.3 million views, 101,000 likes and 31,000 retweets.

Musicians Pharell Williams and Aerosmith have also complained about Trump using their music for political purposes.
